Superstars Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy have all had fantastic careers putting their country (Ghana) on the map. However, they all have generated lots of controversy in their spectacular careers making them somehow untouchable in the music scene. New cats like Black Sheriff, Kwesi Arthur, and even Kwabena MP have all shown their capabilities music-wise often at times being compared to these 3 magnificent artists. Many argue that these young artists are yet to reach the heights of these 3. We agree a hundred percent to that and we are sure you do too taking into account their decades of hard work and dedication to the craft. These three have racked up millions of views on YouTube and have even been a great export for the country. However as we grew under their budding talents, we have never witnessed a music collaboration among these 3. It is really surprising but we have gathered certain valiant instances that might have caused this sad situation to build up over the years.

Sarkodie has a great catalog of music putting him in the bracket of Africa’s dopest mics man. He was a proud joint winner of the prestigious BET award with Wizkid some time back. His influence on the Azonto genre has been insane as well gaining him fans in the world, especially in the United Kingdom. His album releases arena Fan’s favourite and he in particular is living a pretty good life. He has over a million followers on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Sarkodie has been hosting the Raperholic concert as part of his activities in the Entertainment calendar where he performs his old songs and surprises them with new ones or unreleased ones too.

Stonebwoy on the other hand brings home the RNB vibe mixed with the Jamaican heat. His songs are infectious indeed and his “Therapy” song making lots of waves online and in online music stores around the world. Stonebwoy boasts of songs any upcoming artist dreams of. He has the awards cabinet to back it up as well. His most recent award was at this year’s VGMA awards. Interestingly enough, Stonebwoy also hosts an annual concert

Shatta Wale lastly is the most controversial one of the 3. He is regarded as the dancehall king with an astounding fan base as well. With his pretty loud aura, Wale has commanded crowds globally with his music and concerts. His recent collaboration with American songstress, Beyonce was one for the history books Yes so, all among these stars is a plethora of fans. To begin with, they have simply been the best These guys command huge stages around the world hence their dominance is without a doubt. Truth be told, we love these guys but lots of people have been dying to find out why these musicians would never collaborate on a song. With this being our big feature story, I will make this as detailed as possible for readers.

Stonebwoy had a brawl with the “1 Don” hitmaker which puts a collaboration between the two musicians in doubt. Sometime back at the VGMAs, Wale interrupted an award collection moment from Stonebwoy. This moment shocked music lovers around the world. Many wondered why two respectable dudes would threaten each other on stage at such a celebratory moment. Their brawl was being televised around the world hence led to serious sanctions from the music bodies they were affiliated with which was the VGMA board. The sanction meant that they would not be a part of the award show for 2 years. Ever since that incident both have come out to to squash their misunderstandings and demonstrated their love for each other’s craft online. However, they have never spoken about doing a joint together as of 2024. Sarkodie and Shatta Wale had an on-and-off relationship over the years. Many will argue that the “Original” hitmaker had previously done a song called “Megye Wo Girl” with Wale however a new song between them looks bleak now. Sarkodie on numerous occasions has gone after Wale due to his fun lifestyle in the music scene with the viral hit “Advice”.

His “Advice” song which was directed at Wale did not only steer up tensions between them but also prevented them from collaborating on a song. Shatta has retaliated on social media in so many ways throwing jabs at the rapper unprovoked down the years. Shatta in recent times refers to Sarkodie as his buddy for life however a song from them is yet to be announced from both camps. Stonebwoy and Sarkodie never got into a physical altercation like Shatta and Stonebwoy but were almost getting themselves into one on that windy Friday evening. Both artists’ reps got into a heated argument at an undisclosed location leading to Sarkodie’s manager getting injured in the process. Stonebwoy who came out to apologize to Sarkodie’s team over the unfortunate incident was disappointed that the rapper involved the police hence he was shocked that the rapper could call the cops on him despite showing remorse. Sarkodie later hit back claiming that his manager was someone he cherished hence he needed to set things straight and keep him safe. None of the stars have been in the studio together ever since this happened.

Don’t get me wrong, these three still have mad love for each other but I believe things won’t be the same again music-wise. Sarkodie in recent times has gone on to have freestyle spells at BET putting Ghana on the map. With the release of his Alpha Ep, Black Love, and the Jamz albums, he continues to shine in his field or genre of music. His recent album was being marketed globally and more specifically in Nigeria drawing new fans from the diaspora. Stonebwoy’s constant mind-blowing remixes and collaborations with top international acts like Bennie Man, and Keri Hilson to mention a few. His recent features from Nigerian star, Davido have gained him acclaim in Nigeria as well. Stonebwoy has fallen in love with the Afropop genre and hints at producing an album solely from that. His aura is much appreciated by the global world undoubtedly.

Shatta’s aura continues to wow music lovers who purposely love his craft. He promises to break the jinx in the worldwide market and get his music to the international market. His On God song is currently doing well on online platforms making it one of the best jams to come out of Ghana. He constantly prides himself on the Beyonce feature which no one saw coming. He is mostly seen bantering it out with Nigerian Star Burns Boy over past feuds. Shatta is a Twitter lover and hence promotes lots of his work on the platform. His last post taunts music lovers in the country with his now-released GOG album. Shatta’s album was set to feature global artists as well hence it was a must-listen or a go-to album. Yes, so this is how things stand with these superstars out of Ghana. They are exceptional lads hence earning the monicker the “Big S”. We continue to hope that something comes out of their camp joint any time soon however until that happens fans and music lovers at larger would have to wait. We hope this long wait will be worth it in the end. Quite recently Stone talked of the possibility of a collaboration with Shatta Wale. Until then we have to wait and enjoy their already-released songs.
