No bribes were paid to John Mahama; there is no evidence – OSP

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), headed by Lawyer and Academic, Kissi Agyabeng, has come out to vindicate the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress, John Mahama.

This comes after thorough investigations into the Airbus scandal case. Kissi disclosed that John Mahama did not play any role in the scandal hence his name should or can rest now. He added that there was no evidence of bribes paid to him or any government official.

The Airbus scandal was a big deal and involved Airbus SE, who offered bribes to government officials. It did so to five countries to win contracts, of which Ghana was included. Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan were the other countries.

Airbus SE and the UK SFO have worked out a bargain plea approved by a London High Court and met the requirements of the deferred prosecution agreement by paying up some money in place of prosecution.
