Enzo Hernandez apologizes after racist chants on Instagram

Argentine and Chelsea FC Football Club player, Enzo Hernandez has finally issued an informal apology after his racist comments piqued fans’ interest.

The COPA America winner shared a live video of him and a group of Argentine players singing chants and songs about the French National team.

Enzo who was trending for the entirety of the day had no choice but to render a heartfelt apology to millions of fans and stated emphatically that he was caught up in the heat of the moment.

The post on X read;

” I want to apologize sincerely for a video posted on my Instagram. The words include offensive language and there is absolutely no excuse for these words. I stand against discrimination in all forms and getting caught up in the euphoria of the COPA America celebrations.

That video, that moment, those words, do not reflect my beliefs or my character. I am truly sorry”.

Enzo’s apology has been widely received with mixed reactions all around the world. He is expected to join Chelsea for his preseason preparation.
