Ghanaian star man Daniel Kofi Kyereh has reportedly departed Freiburg’s pre-season camp after his knee problems resurfaced in a recent training session.
The ambitious player who had been away for a while had to be taken off the field for an abrupt assessment.
He is expected to undergo a fresh surgical procedure to assess his situation. The extent of his injury would determine if any further treatment would be necessary or meted out to him
Kyereh, who recently returned to football after 20 months out injured, is, unfortunately, staring at another long absence from football, which can in turn hurt his chances of playing in the Bundesliga this season and ultimately featuring for the senior National team the Blackstars.
Kyereh has played in the African Cup of Nations and World Cup Qualifiers since debuting in 2021. His impressive display makes him a fan favorite. We wish him well during this difficult period of his career.
