“We are sorry for the hardships”- Finance Minister Mohammed Amin Adam pleads

Ghanaian Finance Minister, Mohammed Amin Adam has apologized to citizens for the ongoing economic difficulties nationwide

Speaking at a function, he expressed profound pain at how things have turned out but thanked Ghanaians for being relentless.

He continued;

“I would like to appeal to the people of Ghana to forgive us, to forgive us. It is never the intention of any government to impose hardships on its people. We had to make a very important decision at the time hence if we hadn’t taken that decision, our economy wouldn’t have recovered as it is today.

I also want to thank you, the people of Ghana on behalf of the president for the sacrifices and effort that you all have made in participating in the Domestic Debt Exchange Program.

Thank you once again for that support”.
