Ugly is beautiful: Zimbabwean, William Masvinu redefines beauty standards

Ugliness as a term has been a demeaning word since being established in the English Dictionary however that has changed since William Masvinu went global.

Even when being used in a sentence, “the word” causes discomfort to many. Over the years, event organizers have sought to remove this degrading term and encouraged many people to stop using it. One of the most successful projects in the world was first held in Zimbabwe. Since then, the awareness of this uplifting event has spread throughout news portals across the world, with many catching a glimpse of the action.

Many competitors pass through seasonally, but none have impressed like the man, William Masvinu. William Masvinu has won the Mr. Ugly competition five times in a row in Zimbabwe. Masvinu, on numerous occasions, claims he is proud of his facial appearance.

African Facts Zone on X recently confirmed that and also wants to take it to the international level. Organizers of the event have always wanted ugly people to have the same opportunities as beautiful people, with confidence being their take-away gift aside from the actual prices.

The winner of this competition, however, receives $500 and a cow. So note the name William Masvinu and always remember he is the face promoting confidence in Zimbabwe.
