‘I was shocked when I saw Ramsey Noah cast in my role’- Van Vicker reveals

Ghanaian actor and media personality Van Vicker has shared truths about the released movie, A Country Called Ghana.

The ace actor on one of his media runs claimed that the producers of the movie actually ditched him for his Nigerian colleague Ramsey Noah after he made reasonable demands.

Per his interview on Happy FM, the director, Fiifi Frank Garbin called him initially on the possibility of him shooting with them. Van Vicker added that after agreeing on the role, he discussed the dates and duration of the film with him but had issues because he was still in school.

Van claimed they had made a headway then till he told him he would reach out later for more discussions.

He continued;

“The director then got back to me and said the movie’s producer needed me for a month. I was surprised because it was too long and actors are paid based on how long they spent on a set. I wondered if they could pay me for a month’s work.

Also since I was in school so I told him one month was too long for me hence I could not shoot but what I could do was 10 days on set”.

Van Vicker claimed that Frank Garbin still insisted on the 30-day shooting process and hence ignored him thereafter and to his surprise opted for Noah.

He added;

“I have nothing against my brother from Nigeria but can you believe Ramsey Noah came to do the job for exactly 10 days? I was tracking the whole thing down after I was not contacted anymore.

I did not say anywhere that I did not want to do this movie at all however I gave a counter-proposal to have it done in 10 days and they gave the job to someone to do it for the same number of days I wanted due to my educational duties.

Garbin did not even negotiate to have it in 13 to 15 days but again the person they brought still did 10 days so what was his argument?”
