“Hopeful” Bawumia enstooled as “Internet Chief” in Nsawam

Current Vice-president and the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party Dr. Mamamodu Bawumia has been enstooled as a chief in Nsawam.

The colorful event that identified Bawumia as a visionary leader leveraging technology to drive sustainable solutions was well attended by dignitaries many of which have experienced his impactful tech-related strategies.

After the honor, the chief, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, made it known that the masses can now identify Bawumia as “Nana Ntentankesehene” to wit ‘Chief of the Internet/Web’.

Bawumia, known for his exploits in digitalization, has made strides since being the vice president with the introduction of Ghana and E-levy, which seeks to help the government raise more money for developmental projects.

He has often come under immense criticism recently for his 1 Ghanaian, 1 mobile phone initiative whereby he briefed the public on how he wants every legal citizen to have a phone of their choice and be able to pay in installments if only they cannot afford to pay even as low as Ghana.
