After his recent jab to the Recording Academy in the States, Ghanaian artiste Stonebwoy has received huge criticism from fans after his recent post on X.
The “Bhim nation” president was not happy about his exclusion from a compiled list of “10 Artists Essential to Ghanaian Hiplife: Reggie Rockstone, Sarkodie, Mzbel and more”.
“Who ever wrote this article is interestingly missing THE NAME @stonebwoy
.@RecordingAcad Do Due Diligence before you publish half-dozed articles aiming to capture the true image of the State of the Ghanaian Sound”.

His opinion on the article published days ago did not sit well with his fans and many neutrals. Their reason was that the artiste in question had solidified his place as a musician in the Reggae Dancehall category and had even transitioned into the Afrobeat genre as well hence did not understand why he would call out the author Nana Kojo Mula.

I still believe Stonebwoy has another admin to this page. I can’t believe he will do this himself

Others opined that he needed to have someone handle his account so he could avoid putting out such embarrassing posts on the platform. A few of them also felt it was his rivalry with artists like Sarkodie and Shatta Wale that drove him to question the academy for his exclusion despite his impact on Ghanaian music.

We at Weekynuuz believe Stonebwoy wanted the recognition but failed to notice the genre of music being recognized in the post and honestly his contributions have been widely commended for by his many collaborations over his musical journey hence he could have avoided this post if he had taken his time to get clarity from the Recording Academy behind closed doors.
What do you think about this?
